FELIZ NAVIDAD AND SENIOR COMPANION??

FELIZ NAVIDAD!

This week was great! We baptized Kiara! I preformed the baptism. All of our zone had all of their baptisms in the Stake Center on Christmas Eve. For a Navidad Blanca. (WHITE CHRISTMAS)
It was a great experience to see. There was 6 baptisms in total, I love baptisms. It really feels like I am doing my job when I see someone take part enter in the waters of baptism and follow Christ.

We spent Christmas Eve night with Familia Flores. We had a good chicken dinner, and it was fun to spend time with them. They are such a strong family and are very kind. Fernando and Nahuel Flores are 14 and 16 and they are so funny and always acompany us. I will miss them.

Yeah, after being in Mitre, Salta for one transfer, IVE BEEN TRANSFERRED. BACK TO TUCUMAN. As SENIOR COMPANION. Because Elder Barboza is going to train so I had to leave. I only have 5 months and that is really weird to be Senior Companion this early in our mission. I am very nervous, I don´t feel prepared. But I know the Lord will help me in my calling. My companion is named Elder Villanueva. He is from Cuzcos, Peru. He has 10 months in the mission. Elder Villanueva is very humble and kind. He is very shy and timid. I know he will help me a lot and I am excited to work with him.

My area is called Universitario in Tucuman West. It´s very different than Mitre. It´s a lot more rough here. There´s places I can´t enter because it´s quite dangerous. I know I will be blessed and helped by the Lord. I am excited to work here in this new area. I am going to miss Mitre. I was really beggining to love the area and the people there. I am sad to leave but I am happy to be where the Lord wants me to be.

Funny Things

LOADING....

HOLA FAMILIA, AMIGOS, CHANGITOS, y my albino friend in Uganda (much love ray ray)

This week... Well I had to stay in the house for two days because Elder Barboza had a fever. So I just had to study for two days straight. I cleaned the house (I put in work) I organized the area book, and came up with a plan to find new investigators because man our area is dying right now. There was a lot of boredom in those two days but I learned a lot in my long days of studying. I find it interesting that now matter how many times we read a certain chapter in the scriptures we can always learn something new that pertains especially to us and our situation.

We had the opportunity to go to the plaza 9 de Julio (see the photos I sent) and contact people for 3 hours with our ward. Contacting is not my favorite thing to do, and I need to get better at it and this 3 hour period helped a lot. The ward really knows how to talk to people about the gospel. I was proud of them. This was the only time I got to slip out of the house, we found a member who could stay with Elder barboza while I went with Fernando Flores. Fernando is 16, and hes been a convert for a year and a half. He goes out with us a lot to help us with lessons. He knows his stuff. His testimony of the church is so strong, and hes very bold for a 16 year old. He will be a great missionary. It felt like I had a real missionary with me. We are gonna spend Christmas Eve with his family, hes a stud.

We taught one of our investigators, Soniel this week. He is a stud and is dating a member. He has real intent to learn about the church. He has a lot of questions that sometimes throw us for a curve. We taught him the Plan that God has for us on the earth about where we were before this life, why we are here, and where we are going after. He seemed very intrigued with this, we invited him to read the book of mormon. He voiced that he really wants to make changes in his life and come closer to God. It was a very spiritual lesson.

I invite you all, to press attention to the miracles and blessings you recieve everyday. Especially that we are this close to Christmas, the Celebration of The Birth of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. There are miracles big and small that are in front of us every day, if you look for them they are there. Remember the blessings you have and the things that you are are blessed with that others are not so fortunate to have. Remember the prescence of The Lord in your lives, how he really loves us and feels for us when we are struggling. How he really wants to help us when we seek for his guidance. Count your blessings.

FUNNY THINGS

I had to go to the bathroom during the contacting the the plaza and the only bathroom was in the Cathedral.....So....I went to the bathroom in the Cathedral and a women asked me about Joseph Smith, and I explained about the Mormon Religion....IN A CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL. (Hey she asked me first, I wasn't soliciting the opportunity) I gave her a Book of Mormon, Fernando testified that we dont worship Saints or Images and we left! We arent allowed to proselyte in other religious places but she literally asked me a question as I was leaving the bathroom.😂 Oops.

One of the counselors in the Elders Quorum Presidency, calls me Ni+ga, during church. He thinks that all americans just call eachother that, Because he watched Straight Outta Compton.. Nice...Its hilarious. I told him that its not a good thing to say but he doesnt care.

I totally fell hard off my bike this week, in front of a family, in the street. They all asked if I was okay, and I just pulled out the pamphlet that I had in my pocket and started contacting. (Rico Suave)

Feliz Navidad! Recuerden Nuestro Salvador y Redentor, Jesucristo. Les Quiero, Ciao!

HYDROBIKING

Hola Familia, Amigos, and Changitos.

This week was pretty good. We had interviews with President this week, Zone Training, we are helping a member build a house, and finding a lot of new investigators.

Interviews with President was really good. He helped me out a lot and gave me a lot of advice. Hes happy with my progress with my Spanish and my obedience and diligence in the work. I really appreciate Presidente Chapparro. He is a great guy, who knows how to motivate people to work hard and his knowledge and Faith is really strong.

Zone Training was good, I learned a lot. I need to work more on helping people answer THEIR OWN questions, not just me answer it for them. When people answer their own questions or doubts its a lot more significant. Something that I need to work on!

We are doing a lot of service here. We are currently helping a member build his house, with concrete. We are going to help every Saturday. They are part member and we think its really opening the door for them. They are a lot more receptive to us now.

We have been contacting a lot of references in Barrio Floresta and in Barrio Autodromo. Some seem really ready and prepared to progress in the way of the Lord. We hope we can help them reach their goals and help them find the happiness the Gospel has.

Funny Things

Elder Mejia and I were biking home from the Chapel and there was torrential rain, and the streets were flooded. We biked home and there was a flowing river in the street. IT WAS SO FUN. We were soaked completely in 6 seconds. It was awesome. I almost lost control cause there was a current going the other way. I wish I would of got pictures of the streets. The storms here are crazy.

Agusto, the member who we are helping build his house, knows a lot of English. He calls everything white trash and thinks its hilarious. He asks a lot of questions in English. Hes really funny. He called a chico in the street white trash for having a DC hat. The kid didnt understand. It was really funny haha

I found out that Embarasado does not mean Embarrassed. In fact it means Pregnant. I was telling a story, about something funny that happened to me and how I was really embarassed. I said Yo era muy embarasado. Everyone started dying laughing, I was confused cause I didnt think it was THAT FUNNY. Elder Barboza explained that I said I was pregnant. Haha, oops.

Everything is well here, Love you guys.

WHAT ESURRR NAME

HOLA AMIGOS FAMILIA Y CHANGOS,

This week was really good, a lot better than last week. We had a ton of lessons with member this week. We did splits twice this week. Where I go with a member to one part of our area and Elder Barboza went with another member to a different part to get more work done. It was a little hard cause I still don't know Mitre really well yet. But went really well.

I had the opportunity to do splits with Facundo, 18 year old less active boy. He seems so much like me a couple years back, wanting to find his testimony and change and come back but not knowing how. I talked with him a while during the time divisions and shared my story, was a good talk. He came to church yesterday for the first time in 2 years. I gave him my Argentina hat cause he really liked it and his hat got robbed so I gave it to him. He showed up to church wearing it. HAHA. I was really happy for him.

I also did splits with Elder Dobson, our district leader. Hes a stud. We are very similar. He has a strong testimony, and is a really hard worker. He played football and wrestled in high school. I really consider him a good friend and I learn a lot from him. Hes a good leader. He taught me a lot in our interchanges.

The unity with Elder Barboza and I is really growing. Elder Barboza is really a funny guy, he knows a lot of English and his sense of humor is really funny. He is really bold. He has no fear when it comes to giving commitments. I am learning a lot from him and my Spanish is getting so much better.

Funny Things

We were contacting in Autodromo and a drunk came up to me and asked where I was from and I said Los Estados Unidos. He said WHAT IS YOUR NAME, in English. I said Elder Batman. He said NO WHAT IS YOUR NAMMEEEEE. I said Elder Batman. He approached me, covered my missionary plaque and said NO WHAT IS YOUR NAME! I said Pablo Escobar (He was drunk he wont remember nada) And he said OHHHH NICE TO MEET YOU PABLO! I was dying after. Elder Barboza was trying so hard not to laugh during it. I love contacting drunks.

I got asked what part of Spain I was from twice this week, weird because I dont talk with a theta. And once from Paraguay (again) Shout out to my accent.

I contacted a Jehovahs Witness Missionary in the street, was very funny. I gave them a Book Of Mormon. He was so confused that I tried to contact him.
